Amber Tysl began dancing at the age of three. Her mom enrolled her dance because she was shy, hoping that dance would push her a little out of her comfort zone. Little did she know she was beginning a trend for her life. Every step Amber has taken has been specifically guided by God’s grace and guidance. She became a teacher only after changing her major the first day of college. In fact, she went to college to become a dance studio owner but quickly fell in love with the elementary school classroom. But nine years into teaching, even after receiving her Master’s in Education, she felt God’s call to stay home after having been given a flourishing photography business. Launching herself into this work from home life, Amber honed in on her craft of photography learning all that she could about business and photography; until five short years into photography, she realized that among all the stories she was able to tell with photography, dance was still a huge part of her life that was a story just waiting to be told. And just one year into teaching dance, she doubled the goal set in her mind of children that would dance. Now, in her second year, she has a place to call home at Flourish Co. where her love of photography and dance mesh into one entity. While at Clemson University pursuing her degree in Elementary Education, Amber had the unique opportunity to be a member of the Rally Cats, Clemson’s dance team that performs at all home football and basketball games, as well as other sporting events. During those college years, she traveled with the National Dance Association across the country leading camps on college campuses for numerous schools and groups. While also in college, Amber competed in the Miss South Carolina pageant, winning the talent award for her lyrical dance and was named first runner up. She later traveled to the National Sweetheart Pageant and was also named in the top ten there.
