ACRO will work to increase the dancers body and core strength, improve flexibility, and to safely incorporate acrobatic skills into dance. Our focus on acrobatic skills will be safety first. ACRO is an individual skill and classes are broken into intermediate and advanced levels to better suit everyone’s talent levels. Intermediate classes will focus on splits and back flexibility to obtain back bends, front and back walkovers, and one handed cartwheels. Advanced classes will work on continued flexibility in splits, handstands, and back skills. We will also focus on front and back skills, aerials, and combining multiple tricks in a way that can be used to enhance their dance routines. ACRO is not a tumbling class, these skills are taught and used to be able to enhance their dances, not to have full tumbling passes across the matted floor.
